A Budgets & Behaviors Accountability Group for Women

“Outcomes are a lagging measure of behavior & habits.” -James Clear

We’ve all felt it.  We know in our minds what we should be doing, but the distractions & busyness of life constantly pull us in a different direction.  Plus, who really wants to sit down and do a monthly budget!  (Well…I do, but I know I’m not typical - and that’s why I’m here to help!)

"Where there is no counsel, the people fall;  But in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Proverbs 11:14

Consistent Personal Financial Coaching will remain the BEST way to see quick results (where I’m working with you (and a spouse if applicable) personally, on a regular basis.)  However, that format may not be the right fit for some of you, so you may consider a small group setting.  This is for women who want the guidance and accountability with budgeting, but don’t require the full dedication of a coaching package.

This group will...

  • Equip you with tried & true best practices for creating a spending plan (aka budget), and then customize it to fit each of you individually.  (You will not be asked to share your personal budget with the whole group, but I will ask to see it.)

  • Place you in a setting where you are forced to attend to your spending plan.  Our environment plays a large role in developing the habits that make us the person we want to be, and this group will help you create that new routine.

  • With twice per month zoom meetings, the group will be taught the spending plan, and then you will work on your own budget as I remain available to help out and answer questions.  The first month is messy, but you’ll start to see results quickly.

  • Since we meet twice per month, you will be more motivated to stick to your plan because you know I’ll ask you about it!  This is one of those situations where you purposely set yourself up to fulfill a task, and due to the accountability, your success rate soars!

  • You will get to a point where you are ultra-prepared and ultra-confident going into each new month.  You will know what is coming in and what is going out, and you will be at peace.

  • Friendships will form as we come alongside each other.

  • Included in the membership is continual guidance on all things budget/spending/saving.  Regular tips will be sent out to our private group, and you will always be able to ask questions via chat, email or text.

  • An opportunity to meet one-on-one with me at a reduced rate.  If you need a guide to be "in the weeds" with you, I’m here to help.

This group is not...

  • Financial Peace University.  While that class is awesome, the purpose here is not to convince you to change your money habits, it’s to actually dive into it and help you DO IT.  This group will be much more personal.

  • A Personal Assistant to do your budget for you.  My goal is to teach YOU to do it and create lasting habits that will change the course of the rest of your life.

  • Strict.  I will not be the one to tell you that you must restrict your spending.  However, we will evaluate what is most important to you in your life, and then YOU will determine your goals for spending in light of what you value most.

How it works

  • You will be asked to commit to a monthly investment in both time and money.  “A commitment device is a choice you make in the present that controls your actions in the future.  It is a way to lock in future behavior, bind you to good habits, and restrict you from bad ones.” (James Clear, Atomic Habits)

  • Time investment of twice per month for one hour via zoom.

  • Financial investment of $30/month.  Because accountability is a major player in our group, you will be asked to commit to our group for at least 3 months, and regular payments of $30/month will be set up.  Cancel anytime after the initial 3 months, if desired.
